President Roh Moo-hyun and Finnish President Tarja Halonen agreed on Sept. 7, 2006, to make more efforts to improve bilateral ties, especially in the fields of information-technology (IT), trade and logistics. In a joint press conference after a summit, Roh said, "President Halonen and I agreed to establish a comprehensive partnership between the two countries to cope with challenges in the 21st Century."
