outh Korean President Roh Moo-hyun and U.S. President George W. Bush reaffirmed their robust alliance, while renewing their previous agreement to work together to resolve the North Korean nuclear standoff in a peaceful manner. outh Korea and the United States have agreed to expeditiously complete the tran-sition of OPCON (wartime operational control) to the ROK (Republic of Korea) after Oct. 15, 2009, but not later than March 15, 2012.
