Question: Mr. Prime Minister Ivas Godmanis, what is the purpose of your visit to Seoul?
Answer:
I am here in Seoul to fulfill my promise made to your President in Beijing. I spoke to him a few weeks ago at the Asia-Europe Meeting (ASEM) in Beijing. There are several reasons for me to come here. Firstly, we are ordering ships here, from Hyundai. We have already built four tankers and now we have ordered four more. This is a basic problem for shipbuilding everywhere in the world, as well as here in Korea. It just makes our contact bases realistic.

Question: Mr. Lee Maan-ee, Minister of the Environment, would you explain the background on "Low Carbon, Green Growth" and its concept?
Answer:
South Korean President Lee Myung-bak defined that "Low Carbon, Green Growth" is a sustainable growth that reduces greenhouse gas emissions and environmental pollution. I believe that this shows why the Ministry of Environment(NOE) is the leading authority in promoting green growth, as what the President said perfectly fits the role of theMinistry.
